As our Business Development Representative, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth efforts. We’re seeking a “hunter” – someone who thrives on cold calling, networking, and building connections. Your focus will be to generate new leads, forge meaningful relationships, and close deals that align with our strategic growth goals. Working closely with our Project Managers, you’ll leverage their expertise for accurate scoping and pricing, allowing you to confidently move deals forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively reach out to new prospects through cold calls, emails, and networking events to generate leads and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the oil and gas industry, growing our network of contacts.
  • Partner with Project Managers to develop accurate scopes and pricing, ensuring all client needs are met.
  • Drive the sales process from initial contact to close, maintaining a strong pipeline of potential business.
  • Represent our company with a positive, professional attitude and an eagerness to help us grow.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Hunter mentality: You thrive on the challenge of cold outreach and the excitement of closing new business.
  • Relationship builder: You know how to establish rapport quickly and enjoy connecting with people.
  • Team player: Collaboration with Project Managers is essential to our process, and you’re ready to work as part of a supportive team.
  • Industry experience: Prior contacts within the oil and gas sector are a plus, but we’re open to candidates eager to learn the industry.
  • Positive attitude and energy: You bring enthusiasm to your work and are motivated by ambitious goals.
  • Adaptable: You’re comfortable in a fluid, fast-paced environment and embrace the unique opportunities that come with working in a smaller company.

To be considered you’ll need:

 

  • Business Administration Diploma or similar
  • Minimum of 5 years sales and/or customer service experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of products, CRM, and other tools to improve efficiencies
  • Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), teamwork and relationship building skills are essential.
  • Proven client relationship management skills to develop and manage strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Class 5 Drivers License.
